( incomplete ) Jack & Ava. Empty
PostSubject: ( incomplete ) Jack & Ava.   ( incomplete ) Jack & Ava. I_icon_minitimeSat May 24, 2008 8:47 am

SYNOPSIS: Jack talks to Ava.
DATE: 10 May 2008
LOCATION: Ava's Parents House
RATING: PG, for now.
STATUS: Incomplete
NOTES: After getting back from his trip with Tag, he finds Ava.
OPEN TO: Ava

The whole basis of a relationship was based on trust. That was something that had been made clear this entire week. And although Jack often distanced himself from girls in order to keep them safe - still, the number one thing even with him was being able to trust that person. They wouldn't have been able to get passed his barriers at all if he didn't trust them. Not trust them with his secret, just trust in general. Ava had broke through those barriers already. Maybe that's what chapped him the most. He didn't see the deceit until it practically slapped him in the face. His feelings for her blinded him from being able to see who she really was. That's not to say he thought she was a bad person, not by any means. That didn't ease the situation though.

The fact that she had powers made him more open to a relationship with her in general, but he didn't want that to be the sole reason. He wanted to pursue something with her because he could trust her. It was funny how one moment he had his trust in her, but his lifestyle effecting her is what held him back. Now, it was the complete opposite. He had just gotten back into town with Tag yesterday, but he didn't try finding Ava then. He took an extra day, because he'd confronted her about it already. What was the point in finding her if there was really no new development in their situation? He still didn't trust her, obviously. But keeping his distance from her wasn't going to rebuild it. Just because they hung out like they used to didn't necessarily mean he was saying that he was ready to enter a relationship with the brunette. He wasn't actively angry at her anymore, god knows he had days to get over his anger. Fuck, even Tag's anger had died down. For now, at least.

He had arrived at Sierra and Ava's room, hesitating a moment before knocking. It seemed he didn't have to, because a moment later the door swung open and Ava's blonde counterpart stood in front of him. Both of them looked startled for a moment, before he finally mustered up the courage to ask her where Ava was. Sierra looked like crap, he took that as a sign things didn't go so well - he hadn't talked to Tag. It was her turn to hesitate in answering before telling him that she had went to her parents house. He watched her shut the door behind her - she was obviously on her way out. He thought for a moment, she was just going to leave it like that and walk away until she doubled back to tell him where her parents house was before she disappeared down the corridor. He didn't know how well her parents would take to him showing up there, but it was worth a shot.

It didn't take him long to get there. His eyes surveyed the large house as he pulled into the driveway. If he hadn't ultimately decided that these girls wanted nothing more but to be friendly with the guys, he might have thought this was some sort of setup. He took a moment, before dashing out of the car and up to the front door. Once more he hesitated to knock, but before someone else opened the door and scared the crap out of him, he did the deed himself. And waited.

It had become an every day thing for Ava to call her mother and tell her how things were. They have always been close since Ava was born into the family. She was also very close to her father but their relationship was never the same when she came into her powers. You see, Ava was the only one in her family growing up with powers. Her older brother and younger sister both lucked out on not having powers as well as her mother and father. She obviously wasn't the first in her family to have them her grandmother had them, her great grandmother, and so on and so forth. In the women's covenant it was a gift to have powers since it skipped generations which is the main reason why many people assumed the covenant had died out. When she spoke to her mother she knew that something was wrong with her daughter and that was when Ava decided to come home for the weekend. She needed to get away from everything and what better place then her own house. Ava told Sisi where she was going and left with her bags in tow. She was greeted by her parents with open arms, and her brother even came home from college too. They shared stories and just had a good time. She was honestly starting to feel like maybe she should finish off her senior year at a normal high school but she knew that she couldn't leave her friends or Jack even if how he felt about her was still up in the air.

Even though she enjoyed being at home and away from all the stuff she had brought upon herself she still thought about Jack constantly. That night she opened up to her mother and sister about what happened. If she told her father or brother they would have killed him like any male would do. Her mother gave her the speech about how things would work out in the end and her sister kept talking about how this all seemed like some movie on lifetime which brought a smile to Ava's face. In her sister's mind, everything happened for a reason and all stories have that picture perfect ending. Sometimes Ava wished she could share the same outlook on life as her sister but she knew she couldn't. Too much has happened and all the faith she once had went out the window.

Laying in her bed she rolled over onto her side to see what time it was. It was still early and she really didn't feel like getting out of bed but she did. Grabbing a few things she headed for the shower to get cleaned up since she looked like crap. A half and hour had past and she was drying herself off before she slipped into a t-shirt and a pair of comfortable jeans. Wrapping her hair into the towel she began heading downstairs to grab a bite to eat. The only one home was her brother since both her parents were at some work function and her sister was at a friends house. That left her and her brother who was still sleeping in his room. That meant she had the house to herself to relax before everyone had gotten home or up. Her feet padded down the steps before she heard a knock on the door which scared her for a moment and figured it was one of her brother's friends coming to wake his lazy ass up. She would have removed the towel but his friends have seen her during worst states she actually didn't look to bad at the moment. Walking towards the door she pulled it open without a second thought and got the shock of a lifetime. Standing in front of her was Jack. A lump grew in her throat as she stood there listening to the ticking of every second in her mind. She wasn't expecting to see him.

Now what was she supposed to say she thought to herself? Did he come all these way to yell at her some more? No, he wouldn't waste his time coming here for that he would have just waited until they saw each other back at school. Taking a deep breath in she finally spoke, but closed her mouth when everything she wanted to say sounded stupid so she decided to let him talk first. It would also help set the tone as to what their conversation would be like.

Aside from the fact that they had powers and were in a Rival Coven, Jack didn't know much about Ava. The book of damnation wasn't exactly a guide to dealing with witches. Thus, he didn't know if he was walking into the Lion's Den by showing up at her home. His judgment was blurred, because now, as he stood there he started to realize this might not have been such a bright idea. The girls weren't going to go after them, but what about their parents? If Jack had actually let his parents in on what was going on - what would they have told him to do? Was it really an active feud now that they weren't dead? It didn't matter to Jack though, he wouldn't fight. Even if they would, he knew he wouldn't; he couldn't. Though, knowing his previous generation - they were pretty rational, they'd hate to dig up stuff from their past. Especially now that they're so comfortable in their suburban life.

That didn't mean Jack didn't have issues of his own to take care of. And it didn't matter if he was walking into the Lion's Den, because he was sensible and would be able to handle such a situation. Well, at least he hoped. Especially now that the door was creaking open. He had expected the shocked look on her face; not necessarily because he's contacted her, but because he had shown up at her house. If he had waited until she headed back to her dorm, he might not have been able to bring himself to talk to her so soon as it was. And he had told her that he'd talk to her when he got back. Seeing that she had just gotten out of the shower - due to the towel on her head, he took a few steps back feeling awkward that he had disturbed her.

"I would have called, but it seemed better just to show up at the time." He spoke - not angrily at all. Although, their last confrontation his voice had been dripping with anger, it wasn't in his nature to talk in such a way. Even if he was still angry. He noted that she looked almost afraid to talk - she was probably waiting for him to yell some more, "Look, I'm not here to yell, I'm just here to talk." He told her softly, sliding his hands into his back pockets. "Why don't you go get dressed and meet me at my car and we'll go for a drive." He suggested, shrugging his shoulders. "If you want, that is." Whose to say that she still wanted anything to do with him at all?
